Eagleville School, Students & Faculty-1923

The Eagleville School built in 1915 was a two-story stucco
building. Classrooms were on the main floor. Pupils graduated from the tenth
grade until 1920 when the third year of high school was added. It was made a
four-year high school in 1921. In August 1923, two days after the opening of
school, the school burned. It was rumored the fire was set by arsonist. Classes
were held in local churches until a new brick school was built and ready for
occupancy by the fall of 1924.
