James "Jimmy" Tucker, age 47,
of Petersburg, TN, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital in
Columbia. A native of Coffee County, Mr. Tucker was a son of the late Wilson and
Elsie Layne Tucker. Prior to his illness, he was a welder for Calsonic.
He is survived by five daughters, Lonnie Gappa of Milwaukee, WI, Jamie Tucker
and Orlana Henley of Taylorville, IL, Kristen Reccord of Manchester, and Laura
Walden of Shelbyville; three sons, Timothy Tucker of Shelbyville, Shane and
Daniel Reccord of Unionville; five sisters, Lucy Hill of Manchester, Mattie
Murray and Novella Layne of Pelham, Annie McCord of Nashville; three brothers,
Junior Tucker of Pelham, George Layne and Kelly Layne of Monteagle.

Betty Sue Watson, age 62, passed away
Wednesday, April 23, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benton and
Mary Alice Fields. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, James
Watson; daughters, Cheri Andrews (Edward) and Melissa Wiebe (Dennis); sons, Greg
Robinson (Jeannie) and Cary Watson; three sisters; one brother; and nine
grandchildren.

Billy F. Bush Sr., of the Bunker Hill
community of Rutherford County died Monday, April 21, 2008. A native of
Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Ira Lee and Emma Loueve Taylor Bush.
Mr. Bush was retired from Home Roofing Inc. of Murfreesboro and was a member of
Rockvale First Independent Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Foster Bush of the Bunker Hill community; two
sons, Billy F. (Leslie) Bush Jr. of the Bunker Hill community and John C.
(Jacqueline) Bush of Rockvale; three sisters, Ethel Leverette and Linda Lynch,
both of Unionville and Clara Belle Brasselton of Taft; a brother, Thomas E. Bush
Sr. of Murfreesboro; and five grandchildren, Tyler, Jennifer, Samantha, Maxie

Milton Lee Crafton, age 87, of the
Cross Keys Community of Williamson County, Died Sunday, April 20, 2008 in
Franklin. Mr. Crafton was a native of Williamson County and was a son of the
late Roy and Nellie White Crafton. He was a life long farmer and was retired
from the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation. Mr. Crafton was a
member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church and loved his family and gospel
singing. He was preceded in death by a sister, Cleo "Jean" White, a
brother, Thomas E. Crafton and a grandson, David Wesley Harper.
Mr. Crafton is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Elbert Estell Sampson
Crafton of Cross Keys Community; two daughters, Sue Crafton Flippen and Ronelda
Crafton, both of College Grove; sister Josephine Crafton Potts of Lewisburg; six
grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.

Frances L. Russell, age 74 of
Murfreesboro, died at home on Friday, April 18, 2008. A native of Davidson
County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lorena Brazil Taylor II.

Eagleville, Harriett Brooks of LaVergne, Harry (Hazel) Russell III of
Murfreesboro, Rebecca Howard of Bradyville and David Russell of Springfield;

Mrs. Russell was retired from Krispy Kreme in Nashville and was a member of the

Annie Lizzie Haynes Ralston Chrisman,
age 86, precious mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went home to be with
the Lord on Monday, April 14, 2008, at Life Care Center of Red Bank,
Chattanooga.
She was a lifelong resident of the Triune community of Williamson County and of
Eagleville. Mrs. Chrisman was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years,
Charles Ralston who died in 1979, and her brothers, Jody, Frank and Jack Haynes.
Survivors include her second husband, Buford "Dave" Chrisman of
Eagleville; daughters and son-in-laws, Faye (J.C.) Hitchcock of Signal Mountain,
Nancy (Dan) Clower of Chattanooga, Rachel (Jim) Cowart of Signal Mountain; son
and daughter-in-law, Charles (Janice) Ralston of Murfreesboro; sister, Mary
Alice (Gordon) Lamb of Eagleville; grandchildren, Angela (Rolando) Apablaza,
Zachary (Laurie) Cowart, Holly Cowart, James Hitchcock, Kelly Hill and Courtney

South Carolina died Sunday, April 13, 2008 in South Carolina. She was born in

She was a waitress, member of the Church of Christ and was preceded in death by
a daughter, Marcie Patterson. Her philosophy in life was "Love Always and

age 74, of Chapel Hill, died Friday morning, April 11, 2008. Mrs. Jackson was
born in Davidson County and was a daughter of the late Andrew James and Ruby
Irene Donelson McWhirter. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church
and was retired from Walgreens, Inc.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, Thomas G. Jackson of Chapel Hill;
daughter, Debra Diane Coggins of Pleasant View; three sons, Darrel Dwayne Davis
of Eagleville, Dorris Dale Davis of Chapel Hill, Charles Dwayne Jackson of

Randall "Randy" Gene Pope,
age 47, of Pace, Florida, formerly of Unionville, died Thursday, April 10, 2008
in Florida. He was born in Bedford County and was a graduate of Community High
School in Unionville. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a roofing
superintendant in Florida.
Mr. Pope is survived by his wife, Tondra Humphreys Pope of Pace, Florida; two
sons, Austin Pope and Preston Pope, both of Columbia; three daughters, Megan

Herbert "Bud" Gleaves,
age 88, of Eagleville, died Thursday morning, April 10, 2008 at his home after
an extended illness. Mr. Gleaves was born in Wilson County and was a son of the
late Herschel and Vera Olds Gleaves. He was a farmer and retired after 20 years
of services with American Freight Company. Mr. Gleaves served in the U.S. Army
during World War II and was a member of the Eagleville Baptist Church. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Mae Underwood Gleaves who died in 1996.
Mr. Gleaves is survived by five daughters, Edna (Steve) Coleman of Madisonville,
Joan (Jesse) Leegon of Nashville, Norma Carter of Clinton, Angela (Ronnie)
Haskins of Shelbyville, Gidget (Edward) Van Dusen of Ohio; three sons, Murry
(Kaye) Sanders of Titusville, Fla., Michael (Janet) Gleaves of Eagleville,
Richard (Andrea) Gleaves of Rockvale; good friend, Evelyn Crosby-Gleaves of
Nashville; 25 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great

Cathryn Powers Clark Nance,
age 83, of Murfreesboro died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Middle Tennessee
Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late William Vincent and Parrie Read
Powers.
She is survived by her sons, James Donald Clark and his wife, Barbara of
Rockvale, Terry Allen Clark and his wife, Kathy of Midland community, David Ray
Clark and his wife, Kathy of Arizona City, Ariz., and Russell B. Clark and his
wife, Samantha of Smyrna; daughter-in-law, Peggy Clark of Hendersonville;
brother, Bill Powers and his wife, Margie of Murfreesboro; nine grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Nance was first married to the late Young Burns Clark Sr. who died in 1981
and then married to the late R. Fred Nance who died in 2005. She was also
preceded in death by a son, Young Burns Clark Jr., who died in 1998; her
brother, Otho Nance; and her sister, Frankie Pinkerton. She was a devoted wife,
mother and grandmother.

Marisue Maxwell Williamson,
age 100, of College Grove died Wednesday morning, April 9, 2008 in Murfreesboro.
Mrs. Williamson was born in Williamson County and was a daughter of the late Joe
John and Hallie Sue Smith Jenkins. She was a homemaker and the oldest living
member of the College Grove United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Joseph Maxwell Sr.
and Jordan Williamson; and by a son, Albert Joseph Maxwell Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Jean Clary Bradey of Murfreesboro; son,
William Richard Maxwell of Pikeville; five grandchildren; and four great
grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Black,
age 60, of Murfreesboro died Sunday morning, April 6, 2008 in Nashville. She was
a native of Maury County and was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Della Mae
Howell Scribner. She was retired from the Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro and
was a homemaker. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by a son, Sam Black Jr.; a
step-son, William Sam Black; a brother Billy Scribner; stepsister, Willow Dean
Crews; and three stepbrothers Richard Hanvy, James and Jerry Scribner.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Black Sr. of Murfreesboro; three daughters
Tammy Crick of Rockvale, Melissa Gallardo and Michelle Hernandez, both of
Murfreesboro; son Bobby Black of Murfreesboro; stepdaughter, Wanda Crook of LA;

Edward C. "Buddy" Cromer,
age 79, of College Grove, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008. A native of Marshall
County, Mr. Cromer was a son of the late John Wallace and Virginia Aline Brown
Cromer. He was a retired banker with Dominion Bank in College Grove and was an
active member of College Grove United Methodist Church. Buddy was a 50 year
member of the College Grove Lions Club where he was a Melvin Jones Fellow, a
member of Owen Hill Lodge #170 F & AM, the Scottish Rite and Al Menah Shrine
Temple. He was also instrumental in starting the College Grove Senior Citizens
Center where he was an active Pedro player. Mr. Cromer was preceded in death by
a brother, Bernie Cromer, who died in March of 2008.

"Tom" H. Webb, age 52, of Murfreesboro died Friday, March 28, 2008
at home. He was a native of Rockvale.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Crystal Webb of
Murfreesboro; mother, Wanda M. Steagall of Rockvale; sisters, Gail Webb, Anna
Webb, Susan Webb, and Laura Webb Ralston, all of Rockvale; nieces Teri Lynn
Potts, Andrea Minton and Rachel Ralston; nephews, Jack Wright PFC stationed in
Korea, Elliott Ralston and Caleb Ralston; great-nephew, Charlie Potts; aunt Pam
Corum; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas H. Webb, and step-father, Jack
Steagall.
He was a 1973 graduate of Riverdale High School and had worked at Bridgestone
for 20 years.

Dorothy Rose Reid Crockett, age
91, died peacefully at her home on March 17, 2008 surrounded by a loving family
and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thompson
Overton Crockett Jr.; sons Thompson Overton Crockett III and John Reid Crockett;
grandchild Lisa Pinckney Crockett; and parents John Murray and Lula Small Reid.
She is survived by son, Lloyd Pierce (Elizabeth) Crockett; seven grandchildren;
17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was active for many
years in various civic and community organizations, serving as President and
former member of the Franklin High School PTA, Tennessee Parent Teachers
Association, Four Seasons Garden Club, Rockvale Home Demonstration Club and the
Carter House Association. In addition she was a longtime member of the Fourth
Avenue Church of Christ in Franklin and later, the Rockvale Church of Christ in
Rockvale. Nanny was special to us in so many ways. She will be long remembered
as a kind and gentle lady, filled with love and caring for her family and
friends alike. We have all been blessed by her presence in our lives. May God
grant her eternal peace in His heavenly home. A special thanks to the staff at
Morningside of Franklin, Mary Louise Murphy and Sally Nance for their constant,
loving support.

Mr. Jesse C. Rigsby Sr.,
age 81, of Eagleville died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at his home. Mr. Rigsby was
born in Howe, Texas, and was a son of the late Marcus Key and Jennie Gannon
Rigsby. He was a bulldozer operator and mechanic and he, along with his two
brothers, were owners and operators of Rigsby Brothers Grocery, Garage and
Construction Company of Eagleville and Allisona. Mr. Rigsby was a member of the
Eagleville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years,
Mary Grace Jewell Rigsby who died in 2005; a brother, J. W. Rigsby; and by a
grandson, Mark Rigsby.

Franklin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse Clayburn and Betty Rigsby Jr. and

Danny Underwood, age
30, of Unionville, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at Bedford County Medical Center
from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A native of Bedford County,
Mr. Underwood was a son of Granville Eugene Underwood and Deborah Kelley who
survive. He was employed as a welder at Holt Specialty Equipment in Eagleville.
Survivors in addition to his parents are 2 daughters, Shelby Jade Underwood and
Danni Lynn Davis of Unionville; a brother, Quinten Underwood of Unionville; a

age 20, of Murfreesboro passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008. He was a native of
Rutherford County and the 2006 Valedictorian of Eagleville High School where he
was active in student council. He also attended MTSU.
He is survived by his parents, Temple Kirkpatrick "Kirk" Smith and
Kimberly Brinkley Smith, sister Rebecca "Becca" Gayle Smith, all of
Christiana; grandparents Catherine Fletcher Smith of Murfreesboro, Jerry and
Gayle Brinkley of Franklin; and great-grandmother June Brinkley of Franklin.
He attended World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro and was a youth group leader
for Youth Alive in Rockvale.

of Murfreesboro, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Stonecrest Medical
Center. A native of Pontiac, Michigan she was a resident of Murfreesboro. She
was a homemaker, member of Calvary Baptist Church and a patient advocate with
Kidney Foundation Healthcare and supported various church organizations
providing meals, mentorship and prayer partner with the youth.
Ms. Spurgeon was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Mae White; sister,
Gail Ann White; brother, Roger Thomas. She is survived by her father, Thomas H.

81 of Rockvale, died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at her residence. A
native of Ada, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Elizabeth
Myers Stephens. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Loredo of Rockvale
and JoAnne Petchonka of Murfreesboro; brother, Leo Stephens of OK; special
granddaughter, LaDonna Olivencia of CA; four grandchildren; six great
grandchildren; best friends, the Guliano family. She was preceded by
granddaughter, Nicki Loredo.
She was the first woman CEO for Clariol and served for 25 years. The family
would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers, Sue Stewart, Lisa

85, of Rockvale died Wednesday, February 13, 2008. A native of Nashville, he was
the son of the late David and Eva Rowe Caldwell Sr.
Mr. Caldwell was retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt., having served during World
War II, and a small business owner.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel Lesley Bailey Caldwell; children, Jayne
(Tommy) Owens of Pulaski, Gene (Lisa) Caldwell of Murfreesboro, Denniese Burns
of Rockvale; brother, David P. Caldwell Jr. of Nashville; daughter-in-law, Amber

Private First Class Kristopher Lee Cox, age
22 of Christiana, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in Hawaii. Born
at Edwards Air Force Base in California, he was a resident of Christiana and a
2004 graduate of Riverdale High School. While at Riverdale High School he was
active with the Riverdale JROTC program his junior and senior year. Private
First Class Cox entered in the Marine Corp in 2004, serving two tours, one in
Afghanistan in 2005 and Iraq in 2006. He attended Gateway Church of God in
Murfreesboro and enjoyed skateboarding and racing.
Private First Class Cox was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Joyce
Spotts; grandfather, Lawrence Lee Cox; uncle, James V. Spotts; cousin, Cody
Cones. He is survived by his fiancé, Ashley Barger of Cypress, CA; mother and
stepfather, Tina Spotts Johnson and David of Christiana; father and stepmother,
Steven Cox and Jackie of Richmond, IN; brothers, David R. Cox of Murfreesboro
and Sean Cox of Richmond, IN; sisters, Stephanie Steele of Christiana and
Christina Cox of Richmond, IN; stepbrother, Ross Miller of Alcoa, TN;
grandmothers, Annette Spotts of Loveland, OH and Deann Cox of Llano, CA; several
aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Tom Trivitt, age 76, of the Wheel Community of Bedford
County, died Sunday, February 3, 2008 in Nashville after an extended illness. A
native of Kansas City, Missouri, Mr. Trivitt was a son of the late Tom
and Mary Frances Stone Trivitt. He was retired from Faber Castell Corporation
and a member of the Baptist Church. Mr. Trivitt served in the United States Army
during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, Mr. Trivitt was preceded
in death by a daughter, Helen Crowell in 1999, two grandchildren, Benjamin Clay
Crowell and Robbie Adams, a sister, Verlene Larsen, and a brother, Bobby Trivitt.
Survivors include his wife, Bell Trivitt of the Wheel Community; two daughters,
Lori Trivitt of the Wheel Community and Martha White of Eagleville; two sons,
William (Jughead) Adams of the Wheel Community and Terry Adams of Unionville;
two sisters, Julia Blevins of Branson, MO and Dean Pierce of Las Vegas, Nevada;
two brothers, Carroll Trivitt of Springfield, MO and Gerald Trivitt of Nevada.

Beatrice Dickens Williams,
a lifelong resident of Bedford County and widow of H. Young Williams, died
January 31, 2008.
She was born in 1912, the eldest daughter of Jason Landis and Emma Reid Dickens.
The Dickens and Reid families were early settlers in Bedford County. Beatrice
Williams, known affectionately as "Miss Bea" began her teaching career
as a teenager in a one room school house in Bedford County. She was a 1929
graduate of Community High School in Unionville. She received her B.S. degree at
Middle Tennessee State College in 1941. She earned a Masters Degree in education
in 1958 from George Peabody College.
Ms. Williams enjoyed a 40 year career as a teacher at Warner Elementary School
in Nashville. She held memberships in numerous educational organizations and
served as president of Metro Schools Elementary School Association. For many
years, she was a member and Sunday School teacher at Rover Baptist Church where
she also taught Vacation Bible School. After marrying H. Young Williams, she
became an active member of the El Bethel Baptist Church. Preceding her in death,
besides her husband and parents, was her sister, Edith Dickens Connelly who died
in 2005.
Ms. Williams is survived by a sister, Kayrene Dickens Lawrence, Chapel Hill; two
nephews, Philip Jason Bailey, Oxford, MS, and David Bailey, Brentwood.

Alberta Hedge, age
77, of Eagleville died Tuesday, January 29, 2008, in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Hedge
was born in Davidson County and was a daughter of the late Percy Warner and
Gladys Hampton Ballantine. She, along with her late husband, were the owners and
operators of George Hedge Printing Company of Memphis. She was employed as an
administrative assistant for Lifetouch Church Directories. Mrs. Hedge was a
member of the College Grove Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her
husband, George Franklin Hedge who died in December of 2002.
Mrs. Hedge is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Walter W. and Phyllis
Hedge of Pleasant View; and three grandsons, Walter W. Hedge II of Eagleville,
Joshua Bryan Hampton Hedge and wife, Debbie, of Shelbyville and Jonathan W.
Hedge of Murfreesboro.

Thomas H. Maxwell, age 92, of
Unionville died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in Murfreesboro. Mr. Maxwell was a
native of Bedford County and was a son of the late Willie Newton and Edna Lee
Sudberry Maxwell. He was a farmer, a retired school bus driver for the Bedford
County School System and retired in 1977 from the Bedford County Highway
Department. Mr. Maxwell was a member of the Unionville United Methodist Church,
a charter member of the Community Lions Club and former member of the Bedford
County School Board.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Margaret Maxwell, Unionville; sister,
Velma Cooper Cartwright, Shelbyville; niece, Drusilla (Jeff) Shires, Unionville;
four nephews, William Clarence (Ann) Cooper, Unionville, Larry (Sue) Smith, Tony
Ray Smith and Randy Joe Smith, all of the Longview Community of Bedford County;
ten great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews.

Dale Sanders of
Unionville died Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Bedford County Medical Center. A
native of Bedford County, Mr. Sanders was a son of the late James Frank and Tiny
Claxton Sanders. He was a retired truck driver. In addition to his parents, Mr.
Sanders was preceded in death by a brother, Milton Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Duke Sanders of Unionville; 4 sons, Tommy Dale
Sanders of the Wheel community, James Richard Sanders of Murfreesboro, Joseph

Tim Weatherford, 33, of
Rockvale, passed away Friday, January 25, 2008 at Stonecrest Medical Center. He
was born in Cook County, Illinois to the late James Thomas and Mildred Alice
Griffin Weatherford. Tim was a truck driver with Averitt Express, coached the
Rockvale Ruritan Club from 2004-2007 and a very avid Chicago sports fan.
Tim is survived by his wife, Vicki Weatherford; son, Steven Weatherford, both of
Rockvale; sister, Shannon (David) Watson of Shelbyville; brothers, Randy
Weatherford (Patty) of Murfreesboro and Jay (Donna) Weatherford of Chicago;

Glenda Mankin Barton,
66, of Unionville passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at her residence due to
ovarian cancer. She was born in Cannon County to Sam Blanks and Dewey Nella King
Gaither. Mrs. Barton was retired as a program assistant with Farm Service Agency
in Shelbyville and a member of the New Zion Church of Christ. She was preceded
in death by her father, Sam Blanks Gaither; husbands, Grover "Bud"
Mankin Jr. and Howard H. Barton; and son, John Phillip Mankin.
She is survived by her mother, Dewey Gaither of Midland; daughters, Teresa
(Randy) Jolly of Murfreesboro and Rhonda Campbell of Midland; son, Roger Mankin

Candis Daisy Anderson, age 70, of College Grove died January 21, 2008 at
her home. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three
sisters.

Hazel Sudberry Yarbrough, age 86, of Shelbyville, formerly of the Rover
Community, died Friday morning, January 18, 2008 in Shelbyville. Mrs. Yarbrough
was a native of Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Clarence and Sadie
Ruth Sudberry. She was a homemaker and was retired from Durango Boot Company in
Chapel Hill. She was a member of the Rover Baptist Church. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Harold Clay Yarbrough who died in 1995 and by a son,
Thomas Clay Yarbrough who died in 2002.
Mrs. Yarbrough is survived by four daughters, Peggy Youngblood of Shelbyville,
Ann Heflin of Shelbyville, Cheryl Neill of Trophy Club, TX, Vicki Lambert of
Shelbyville; two sons, Jim Yarbrough of Shelbyville, Randy Yarbrough of Rover
Community; three sisters, Mildred Baxter of Shelbyville, Jane Jackson of
Eagleville, Linda Wilson of Shelbyville; 14 grandchildren; 21 great
grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren.

Gerald Ray Hilton, age 58, of Rockvale passed away Tuesday, January 15,
2008, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. A native of Louisville, KY, he had
lived in Rutherford County for the past 17 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps
veteran, having served in the Vietnam Era. Mr. Hilton was preceded in death by
his mother, Dortha M. Alcorn Hilton; two brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Ray Hubbard Hilton of Rockvale; daughters,
Teresa (Jason) Strength, Amanda Hilton, Wendy Hilton, Ashley Hilton, Lauren

Jean Evelyn "Abbie" Sadler, age 73 of Murfreesboro, passed away
Friday, January 11, 2008 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. A native of
Davidson County, she had lived in Rutherford County for the past 15 years. She
was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Sadler was preceded in death by her parents, Odie Gordon and Ida Mai Jacobs
Foxall and a brother, William Glenn Foxall. She is survived by her husband, Joe
Rex Sadler of Murfreesboro; son, Joe G. (Wendy) Sadler of Rockvale; daughter,
Debbie Sadler of Murfreesboro; sister, Cathy (Allen) Jones of Whitehouse, and
four grandchildren, Billy Ambrose, Adrian Johnson, Eli Sadler and Caitlin
Sadler.

Catherine Olivia Davis, age 77, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at her
home. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Jackson
and Callie Drake Jones.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Morgan Bell Davis; son and
daughter-in-law, Jackie and Bonnie Davis of Christiana; daughters and
son-in-law, Betty Shelton of Bedford County, Tina and Michael McCrary of
Murfreesboro; six sisters, Nita Preston, Virginia Winsett and Marie Hayes all of
Murfreesboro, Louise Ross of Bedford County, Faye Thomas of Christiana and Peggy
Young of Milton; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by a brother, Mitchell Jones; sister, Rosie Jamison.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Barfield Baptist Church and had attended Rockvale
High School.
