Eagleville 3rd Annual Park-n-Show Car Show The Third Annual Eagleville Park-n-Show Car show was a great success on Saturday, June 7, as owners and spectators gathered for the event. The show was held on the Eagleville School grounds offering everyone ample room to enjoy the many vehicles on display and participate in the activities offered. Organizers Ronnie Hill and Peyton Hill were pleased with the Show and enjoyed working on the effort to support ongoing projects at the Eagleville Park. Many volunteers added their assistance throughout the day. Brittany Rigsby and Blake Hill worked the registration table, helping owners complete paperwork to display their pride and joy vehicle. Pat Wilson, Don Wilson and Harold Vincion completed various tasks and odd jobs that the Show requires. Tam Clark kept the crowd entertained as the Show DJ providing music for the crowd to enjoy. Award were given in various categories and judges Grant Tomerlin, Daryl Holt, Jimmy Garner, Barry Pack, John Stanford, Ryan Huggins, Greg Mashburn, and Jimmy Skinner faced tough decisions as the competition was fierce. Taking Best of Show was Sam L. Pratt Jr.’s 1930 Model A Ford. The Crowd’s Choice award was won by Russell Rigsby with his 2002 Chevy Corvette. Terry and Bridget Vassar won the Competitors Choice award with their 2005 350 Z Nissan. Other winners in the Top Ten were Mark Delk, Terry Vassar, Richard Graison, Cobb Stooksberry, Phil Simmons, Morgan Harrab, Randy Hooten, and Randy Hazelwood. A full menu at the concession stand kept everyone well fed and water and soft drinks kept the crowd cool. Concession stand volunteers Joyce Jones, Linda Vincion, Jimmy and Jean Lamb, Savannah Marlin, Gloria Hill, Ashley Smith, Jeff and Kelly Mooneyham, Jeff and Janese Shanks, Paula Tipton, Peggy Taylor and Ed Smotherman worked hard throughout the day. A Hula Hoop contest was fun for participants and the crowd. Ryan Abernathy took 1st place and Katlyn Vanetta finished 2nd place in the competition. Through all the hard work, many volunteer hours, car owner participation, and spectators who came, the 3rd Annual Park-n-Show Car show cleared $5,000.00. All funds will go toward completion of projects at the Eagleville City Park. Thanks To All Of The Sponsors Smyrna
